From July 22 to 25, 2026, Safi hosts the 24th National Aita Art Festival. The event brings together leading singers, musicians and ensembles representing several schools of this Moroccan popular art in a city that has played a historic role in its transmission.
Evening performances are divided between Moulay Youssef Square and the City of Arts. An academic meeting is also announced at the Regional Library to examine the historical roots of Aita, its artistic and social dimensions and the preservation of oral heritage.
