Tarfaya Public Cultural Centre

## About the venue and its role The **Tarfaya Cultural Centre** is a public facility in Tarfaya province within the Laâyoune–Sakia El Hamra region. Its existence is confirmed by the Moroccan Culture Ministry’s **2026 register of venues available for theatre-company residencies**. Regional public-procurement notices also refer to reception and security services for this centre and the **Tarfaya media library**; these should not automatically be treated as the same facility. ## Verified programme and activities On **15 July 2026**, the cultural centre hosted the launch of a programme to **support women's local civic leadership**, delivered by a Tarfaya association with institutional partners. This use demonstrates its wider community role as a setting for presentations, training, dialogue and public meetings. Inclusion in the national theatre list also provides a route for performing-arts projects according to the relevant residency schemes. ## Visitor information and limitations In a coastal town connected to Aéropostale history, Atlantic landscapes and Saharan artistic traditions, the centre is part of the local cultural infrastructure. **No verified street number, seating capacity, full room inventory, standard opening hours or public telephone** were found. Visitors should refer to organisers' notices or the regional cultural administration before attending. The cover image documents **a cultural performance in Tarfaya**, not a verified exterior photograph of the centre. - **Location :** Centre-ville de Tarfaya, province de Tarfaya, région Laâyoune–Sakia El Hamra ; adresse précise non publiée - **Programme :** check organiser notices and the relevant cultural administration ## Explore other cultural centres [Maison de la Culture Oum Saâd – Laâyoune](/institutions/maison-culture-laayoune) · [Centre culturel Cheikh Sidi Ahmed Rguibi – Es-Semara](/institutions/centre-culturel-cheikh-sidi-ahmed-rguibi-es-semara) ## Documented sources [daam.minculture.gov.ma](https://daam.minculture.gov.ma/resources/files/CPS_theatre_2026.pdf) · [saharaoriginal.com](https://saharaoriginal.com/2026/07/%D8%B7%D8%B1%D9%81%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%B7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%82-%D8%A8%D8%B1%D9%86%D8%A7%D9%85%D8%AC-%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%A3%D9%87%D9%8A%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%AA/) · [cpmaroc.com](https://cpmaroc.com/acheteur/directeur-regional-de-la-culture-de-la-region-laayoune-sakia-el-hamra) *Image : Maglor — performance musicale organisée dans un espace culturel de Tarfaya ; image événementielle, droits à vérifier.*
