Sidi Slimane Cultural Complex

## About the venue and its role The **Sidi Slimane Cultural Complex** is a public performing-arts venue occupying a **repurposed former religious building**, locally remembered as a church. Its reopening was reported on **1 February 2024** after renovation. The interior features stonework, tall arches, stained-glass windows, audience seating and stage equipment. The adaptive reuse of a heritage structure makes this centre distinctive within the region's cultural infrastructure. ## Verified programme and activities The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication included the complex among **2026 theatre-residency venues**. On **7 April 2026 at 7 pm**, the Hep’Art arts company announced **“Mumana‘a”**, a theatrical production supported by the Culture Department in cooperation with Théâtre Aquarium and local partners. The touring work then continued to the Saïd Hajji Cultural Centre in Salé on the following day. ## Visitor information and limitations Programmes proposed at reopening covered theatre, films, children's workshops, poetry evenings and author encounters. Its historic interior offers an intimate and architecturally unusual environment for performance. **The present seat count, standard opening hours and general ticket tariffs are not independently established**; visitors should consult the organiser of each event.
