Lixus – Bab Al Bahr Cultural Centre

A major public cultural facility for Larache

The Lixus – Bab Al Bahr Cultural Centre was created as a public venue for artistic, literary and cultural activity in Larache. The project brought together the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, territorial authorities, the provincial council and the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North.

Built over approximately 3,700 square metres, it includes an auditorium of around 475 seats, an open-air theatre, media library, art gallery, workshop rooms and administrative spaces.

A platform for the city’s events

The venue hosts performance, conferences, forums, festivals and community programmes. It welcomed an international forum for Moroccans living abroad in August 2025.

The cultural centre should not be confused with the archaeological site of Lixus outside Larache. The exact street address and direct telephone remain to be confirmed.
