Russian House in Rabat – Russian Centre for Science and Culture

## About the institution The **Russian House in Rabat**, also known as the **Russian Centre for Science and Culture (CRSC)**, is based at **12 Avenue Annasr**, formerly Avenue de la Victoire. It is part of Russia's overseas cultural-cooperation network and hosts exchanges involving Moroccan artists, students, educational institutions and audiences. Its rooms are used for **publicly announced exhibitions, talks and educational events**. It should not be confused with independent Moroccan–Russian associations or one-off embassy functions. ## Facilities and cultural mediation Programmes encompass **literature, cinema, visual arts, music, Russian-language education and academic exchange**. Information sessions on studying in Russia, documentary film and discussions about translation supplement the arts calendar. The **2025–2026 cultural season**, announced in October 2025, featured themes of **Russian literary heritage, opera and ballet**, including references to the Bolshoi Theatre's cultural history. Major concerts and stage productions sometimes use **Mohammed V National Theatre** or other partner venues; these are not alternative street addresses for the Russian House itself. ## Documented 2026 events and programme On **1 July 2026**, the centre opened the **13th Russian and Moroccan Palette arts festival**, presenting a range of visual-art styles by artists from both countries. On **15 July at 6 pm**, painter **Mohamed Fathallah Achour** presented **“Les Couleurs du Maroc”**, followed on **22 July** by **“Père, Mère et Enfants”**, an exhibition by **Abdelkarim El Kirat** scheduled through **29 July 2026**. A free documentary screening about Russian traditional crafts was also announced for **24 September at 6 pm**. Navigation directories suggest **Monday–Friday 9 am–3 pm**, but those are third-party hours, not confirmed official opening guarantees. Verify each event directly before travelling.
