Stand for Art is an emergency programme for artists and cultural practitioners from the Arab region who face an immediate risk to their safety. The threat may be connected to their artistic and cultural expression or to living in an environment that has become dangerous.
For up to six months, the programme may cover accommodation and living expenses, travel, visas, local transport, legal assistance and physical or psychological care. It may also connect beneficiaries with temporary artistic residencies or international organisations specialising in artist protection.
Applications are accepted throughout the year. The programme is reserved for people facing a tangible and verifiable threat and is not a general artistic production grant. Applications and personal data are handled confidentially.
