Creative approaches to the Sustainable Development Goals
The Swarovski Foundation, working with the United Nations Office for Partnerships, invites the next generation of creative innovators to Creatives for Our Future, its fifth cycle. Six people worldwide, including eligible applicants based in Morocco, will receive an individual €20,000 project grant plus a one-year development programme designed to turn ideas into tangible social and environmental contributions.
Who and what qualifies?
Applicants must be 21–30 years old at the application deadline and work across creative fields such as art, jewellery, architecture, fashion, design, photography, film, engineering or creative technologies. Proposals should make credible progress towards sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including circular materials, water conservation, inclusivity, waste reduction, ecological design and imaginative educational projects. Early ideas are welcome if they can produce real, verifiable outcomes by September 2028.
Important personal eligibility requirements
The call accepts residents of all countries, including Morocco. Only individual applicants and sole proprietors or fully owned one-person businesses are eligible. Applicants cannot submit on behalf of a co-founded company or as a staff member representing an employer. You do not need to be registered as a company or enrolled in formal education. A valid passport, ability to satisfy relevant UK travel requirements and one professional or academic reference are required.
Funding, programme activities and travel
Each selected creative receives €20,000 to develop the project originally submitted, as well as one-to-one mentorship, masterclasses, peer exchange and international networking. The programme is expected to run from autumn 2027 through September 2028, with two to three activities per month. Selected participants must be available for an in-person programme launch in London in autumn 2027. Applicants should confirm precisely which visa and travel expenses are included in the organiser's terms. The grant cannot be used for university tuition or degree-final projects.
Application and selection process
Complete the form in English, including a clear project, SDG contribution, intended results and use of funds. Upload an artistic or design portfolio up to 50 MB and an English introductory video of no more than two minutes (150 MB maximum), alongside required proof of age, valid passport information and referee details. Top candidates may be interviewed in January 2027. The final cohort is due to be informed in April 2027 and must accept within four days of notification.
