A language centre built around cultural exchange
The American Language Center of Agadir belongs to the American Cultural Association network in Morocco. Based in Cité Suisse, it teaches English to different age groups and develops activities extending beyond formal language lessons, including conversation, public speaking, film, music, clubs and community initiatives.
This cultural dimension makes the centre a space for exchange, although it should not be understood as a general performance venue or multidisciplinary cultural institute. Activities are primarily connected to learners and engagement with English-speaking cultures.
Clubs, spoken expression and community life
The centre offers conversation clubs for adults and younger learners, public-speaking activities, film discussions, music clubs for children and other formats that encourage expression in English. Some activities are included for registered students, while others may require a modest additional contribution.
Clubs provide a less formal environment than the classroom. They allow participants to practise language through debate, games, the arts and social interaction. The programme changes between sessions, so recent centre announcements should be checked.
Learning and meeting people in Agadir
ALC complements the language offer of the Institut français d’Agadir and the arts training provided by the Agadir Music and Dance Conservatory. Its particular focus is English learning combined with community activities.
Access to clubs depends on enrolment, levels and the current calendar. Contact the centre before travelling. Explore workshops and training, the Agadir cultural guide, city events and other cultural places.
