Haj Lahbib Cultural Complex, Anza in Agadir

A municipal cultural centre in Anza

The Haj Lahbib Cultural Complex is a neighbourhood facility in one of Greater Agadir’s long-established districts. Inaugurated in August 2020, it was designed to host performances, educational activities, exhibitions and projects developed by associations and residents of Anza.

The complex contains an auditorium of approximately 300 seats with sound and lighting equipment, as well as a library for children. Additional rooms can be used for exhibitions, meetings, workshops and public discussions. This structure brings live performance, reading and local cultural participation into one venue.

A place for families, young people and associations

The children’s library gives the complex a strong educational role. Its flexible spaces can support youth activities, community projects and occasional cultural events. In this way, the venue complements institutions in central Agadir by providing cultural infrastructure inside Anza itself.

Access depends mainly on municipal programmes and invited organisers. Events continue to be announced at the venue, confirming its cultural use, but visitors should not assume that it operates continuously without scheduled activities.

Exploring culture across Greater Agadir

The Haj Lahbib Complex can be connected with the Oudaden Cultural Complex in Bensergao, Les Étoiles du Souss and central venues such as the Théâtre de Verdure. Together, they show that Agadir’s cultural life extends across its neighbourhoods.

Before visiting, confirm that a performance, workshop or public activity is scheduled. Browse events in Agadir, the city cultural guide and other cultural places.
