A festival for folk ensembles

Groups from different countries present dance, music, costume and traditions on open-air stages. Each ensemble prepares several choreographies and takes part in two performances, creating encounters between transmitted repertoires and contemporary modes of presentation.

Moving between several towns

The festival is not limited to one venue. It circulates through four Istrian towns and combines performances, meetings between groups and discovery of the region. The organiser states that more than ten thousand participants and over 250 ensembles have attended since 2011.

Key points

  • Three international sessions in 2026.
