From 15 to 19 July 2026, the Zagreb International Folklore Festival marked its 60th edition across streets, parks and stages in the city centre under the theme “Heritage Resilience”.
The 2026 edition
Groups from Croatia and abroad presented folk songs, dances, music, customs and traditional dress. Folklore promenades, workshops, concerts, discussions and exhibitions extended the programme beyond staged performances.

Founded in 1966, the festival treats folklore as a living practice. Its anniversary edition welcomed groups connected with the first festival and examined how communities preserve, adapt and transmit intangible heritage.
