The Malta International Arts Festival turns the archipelago into an open stage for contemporary creation. Its programme brings together Maltese and international artists through music, dance, theatre, visual art, installations and interdisciplinary works.
Creation in dialogue with heritage
The festival is not confined to a single venue. Projects unfold in Valletta and across waterfronts, theatres, gardens, former infrastructures and coastal landscapes, allowing Malta’s limestone architecture, fortifications and relationship with the sea to become part of the artistic experience.
2026 edition
The 2026 edition runs from 12 to 21 June. The programme combines ticketed performances, free public projects and participatory work. Venues, languages and access conditions vary from one event to another.
