The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center is one of contemporary Athens’ major cultural projects. Designed by Renzo Piano, it houses the Greek National Opera, the National Library and an extensive public park.
Culture and public space
The site hosts performance, concerts, screenings, talks, workshops, family activities and sport. Much of the outdoor programme is free.
A Mediterranean park
The 21-hectare park includes Mediterranean planting, a canal, gardens, walking routes and views towards the city and sea.
