El Bachir Boukhairat — Crossed Lights Photography in El Jadida
« Lumières croisées » presents black-and-white photographs taken by El Bachir Boukhairat during the sixteenth El Jadida Horse Show. His studies of light, contrast and movement reveal the elegance of Moroccan horses and their riders and the close relationship between animals and people. Through silhouettes, gestures and the energy of traditional fantasia, the images explore a living heritage beyond straightforward event documentation.
Art and cultural heritage
The photographs draw attention to the tbourida tradition, the riders’ precise gestures and the interplay between motion and stillness. Boukhairat turns an equestrian spectacle into a visual meditation on cultural identity, collective memory and artistic form.
