About this event
Fez Ciné-Ville: film and the urban imagination
The Fez Ciné-Ville Film Festival is preparing its 30th edition in 2026. Organised by Association Medi Film Création Maroc, the festival provides a platform for films and conversations exploring cities, cinematic storytelling and the place of urban life in cultural imagination. Morocco's national film centre (CCM) has approved support for the forthcoming 30th edition.
2026 dates remain provisional
An industry calendar lists 2–5 December 2026 in Fez. These dates have not yet been separately confirmed by the festival's organisers, and should be regarded as provisional. The final venues, screening schedule, competition selection, jury, opening times and ticketing details are not yet available from the sources consulted.
What previous editions tell us
Earlier Ciné-Ville programmes included Moroccan and international short and feature films, discussions with film professionals, tributes and encounters with new filmmakers. The 2025 edition focused in part on how cinema portrays Morocco's cities. These are references to past activity, not promises or a confirmed lineup for 2026.
