About this event
An olive tree as a Mediterranean symbol
Organised by the Moroccan Association for Assistance to Children in Precarious Situations (AMESIP), with the Institut français de Fes as a partner, « L’Olive au Cœur » celebrates the olive tree as a symbol of peace, sharing and the passing on of knowledge. The festival brings together culinary traditions, creative work, heritage, research and civic action. Its programme connects the everyday importance of olive cultivation to questions of culture, ecology and belonging.
Art, gastronomy, farming and participation
Artists, chefs, researchers, producers and visitors meet through workshops, discussions, live performances, culinary discoveries and activities related to agroecology. Young people connected to the Kan Ya Makan Rdda centre play a central role, making inclusion, learning and intergenerational transmission fundamental to the event. The variety of activities gives the festival both a cultural and an educational dimension.
