About this event
A literary letter about finding your voice
In Lettre à une introvertie, published by Le Sélénite in 2026, writer Hajar Azell addresses her young cousin Imane from Khemisset. Through drawings the girl shares online, Azell sees a rich imagination that does not require constant public attention. Her text celebrates quieter forms of creativity and explores self-confidence, family ties and the freedom to find a place in the world on one's own terms.
Literature accompanied by live music
Rather than a conventional literary conversation, Rabat hosts a musical reading performed by the writer with musician Souhail Sabbahi. The event is presented in partnership with the National Higher Institute of Music and Choreographic Arts (INSMAC). Azell's earlier novels include L’Envers de l’été (2021) and Le Sens de la fuite (2025); memory, identity and transmission are recurring concerns in her writing.
