About this event
The Swiss choreographer collaborates with SoundSisters, a young women’s DJ collective from Marrakesh. Three dancers move between distance, the desire for connection and intense closeness, driven by a sound world that does not merely accompany the choreography but acts as an active force within the performance.
The piece examines a contemporary paradox: the desire for maximum individual freedom alongside a need for belonging, exchange and genuine connection. How do we experience being alone? When does loneliness become pain, freedom or protection? The choreography moves through these states and explores tensions around dependence, separation and the need for others.
Created in collaboration with Culturescapes Festival and Kaserne Basel, the project brings European choreographic writing into dialogue with a Moroccan musical presence through SoundSisters. In Rabat, the performance is scheduled for Wednesday 14 October at 8 pm in the INSMAC theatre and runs for approximately 60 minutes.
