About this event
Paris, 1928: an artist, grief and an unlikely medium
In « La Vénus électrique », celebrated painter Antoine Balestro has been unable to work since losing his wife. His art dealer Armand tries to bring him back to the studio. One evening Antoine visits a fortune-teller, hoping to communicate with the woman he loved. Instead, he unknowingly speaks to Suzanne, a struggling fairground worker who has slipped into the fortune-teller’s caravan to find food. Their unlikely conversation launches a romantic comedy of mistaken identities, hope and deception.
