About this event
What if our world were a simulation?
Jacques visits his friend Bruno with an astonishing revelation: all of humanity is living in a simulation. In Le Vertige, filmmaker Quentin Dupieux transforms this speculative premise into an absurdist animated film that questions what we take for reality. The 67-minute French production closed the 2026 Directors’ Fortnight programme at the Cannes Film Festival.
Offbeat animation and familiar voices
The voice cast includes Alain Chabat and Jonathan Cohen. Known for unsettling everyday logic through unexpected comic situations, Dupieux invites viewers into a playful thought experiment about perception and identity. The screening is part of the regular cinema programme at the Institut français de Rabat.
