About this event
A story about the nature of reality
In Le Vertige, Jacques tells Bruno that humanity exists inside a simulation. Quentin Dupieux turns the idea into a 67-minute French animated comedy that questions the boundaries of perception and reality. The film closed the Directors’ Fortnight selection at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026.
An animated experiment in the absurd
The voice cast includes Alain Chabat and Jonathan Cohen, two familiar names in French comedy. Dupieux uses his characteristic unpredictable storytelling to turn an apparently philosophical discovery into a humorous cinematic puzzle. This screening is presented through the Institut français de Rabat's film programme.
