About this event

Tangier's Cinémathèque, at Cinéma Rif, screens Christophe Dimitri Réveille's documentary The Survivors of Che on Thursday 15 and Saturday 17 October 2026 at 7:30pm as part of the French Institute's Plan large film programme.

Following Che Guevara's death in Bolivia in 1967, the remaining guerrillas are hunted across Latin America. The film reconstructs their extraordinary 2,400-kilometre escape through testimony, archival footage and animation. Selected for the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, it explores memory, loyalty and the experience of survival.

Running time is 97 minutes, in French. Admission is 40 MAD at the Cinémathèque box office. The French Institute offers ten free Pass Jeunes invitations per screening, to be reserved online and shown at entry.

Practical details: Cinémathèque de Tanger — Cinéma Rif · 19:30 les 15 et 17 octobre uniquement · 40 MAD (10 invitations Pass Jeunes par séance). Browse the Tangier cultural calendar for more events.
