About this event
The Marrakech International Film Festival holds its 23rd edition from November 20 to 28, 2026. Since its creation in the early 2000s, the festival has become a major platform for cinematic discovery in Africa and the Arab world, while welcoming filmmakers, actors and industry professionals from many countries to Marrakech.
Its editorial structure includes a competition devoted to first and second feature films, gala screenings, the Horizons section, the 11th Continent for bold and innovative cinema, a Moroccan Panorama, young-audience screenings, tributes and public conversations with major film personalities. The festival also develops the Atlas Workshops, supporting projects from Africa and the Middle East, and traditionally presents screenings across several venues in the city. The 2026 selection and detailed schedule have not yet been released.
