About this event
The home as a place of memory and identity
In « Murmures de Maisons », French textile artist Marie Pourchot examines what homes mean to the people who inhabit them: shelter, memories, family identity and emotion. Drawing on testimony and stories about lived spaces, she creates an intimate landscape in which threads and embroidered gestures carry personal and collective recollections. Textile becomes a way to make fragile experiences visible while honouring the people who share them.
A residency rooted in cultural dialogue
The exhibition continues the DARKOUM artistic residency, coordinated by the Institut français du Maroc and the Centre Les Étoiles as part of the HOME project. It is also presented in partnership with the Fes Festival of Sufi Culture and World Wisdoms. By connecting domestic storytelling with craftsmanship, Pourchot turns embroidery into a contemporary artistic language of transmission.
