A haunted hotel at the heart of Marrakech
Karim and Mouna have just married and are celebrating the renovation of their hotel in Marrakech. During the work, a plumber finds a mysterious object hidden inside a wall. This discovery is followed by unnerving events: sudden violent disturbances, threatening apparitions and a growing sense that the building itself is haunted. As the couple attempt to find the missing object and uncover its origin, deeper secrets emerge and the threat becomes more dangerous.
A Moroccan-language genre film
Directed by Jamal Belmejdoub, « Hôtel de la paix » stars Mohammed Choubi, Benaissa El Jirari, Sami Fekkak and Salwa Zarhane. It runs for 87 minutes and is performed in Moroccan Darija with French subtitles. The organiser lists it as suitable for audiences aged 12 and over. The film combines suspense, supernatural folklore and an atmospheric Marrakech setting. It forms one part of the Institut français de Kénitra's Night of Horror, which also presents Joachim Hérissé's animated short « La Robe peau ».

MAD 20, free for registered Institut participants and PASS JEUNE users under organiser rules. The official pages give the same start time for both films but do not provide the screening order.
