American Language Center Kenitra

## Identity and non-profit status Founded in **1988**, **American Language Center Kenitra** is a member of the **American Cultural Association (ACA)**, an independent Moroccan non-profit rather than a U.S. Embassy office. The centre stands at **2 Boulevard El Qadissia opposite Kénitra’s new railway station**. It combines English-language education with **intercultural understanding, creative activity and community participation** for learners across the city and surrounding area. ## Libraries, workshops and cultural activities Its **recently renovated lending library contains over 4,000 books**, including fiction, poetry, plays, short stories, non-fiction, graded readers and books for children. The library allows **two books to be borrowed for two weeks**, subject to its rules. Meeting areas and study spaces support clubs, conversation and community service. Cultural activities documented by the centre include **exhibitions, film screenings, performances, workshops and celebrations**, with participation from learners, alumni, artists and visiting speakers. ## 2026 updates, courses and access The **2026 educational programme** covers children, juniors and adults, including an **April conversation cycle** and intensive terms in **June, July and September**. Cultural-event dates are announced throughout the term; **no specific October 2026 performance has been verified**. Administrative opening generally runs **Monday through Saturday**, with morning and afternoon times; the centre closes **Sunday and during August**.
