About this event
Three takes on contemporary horror cinema
The Institut français de Meknès offers a single Horror Night programme covering three French and Moroccan films. « La Robe peau » by Joachim Hérissé (15 minutes) is a sinister animated short about an elderly tailor whose work takes a monstrous turn. « Sanguine » by Marion Le Coroller (103 minutes) follows a young emergency-medicine intern who encounters patients suffering unexplained symptoms, then begins experiencing alarming changes to her own body. The debut feature was selected for Cannes 2026 Midnight Screenings.
Moroccan supernatural suspense and age guidance
Jamal Belmejdoub’s « Hôtel de la paix » (87 minutes) follows newlyweds Karim and Mouna at a hotel in Marrakech, where the discovery of a mysterious object unleashes unsettling paranormal events. Starring Mohammed Choubi, Benaissa El Jirari, Sami Fekkak and Salwa Zarhane, the Moroccan film is in Darija with French subtitles and recommended for ages 12+. « Sanguine » is restricted to 16 and over, so the complete programme should be considered 16+.
Friday screening and ticket restrictions
Friday 30 October 2026 from 7 pm at the Institut français de Meknès theatre, Rue Ferhat Hachad, Ville Nouvelle. Each official page lists MAD 20 for members and MAD 30 for non-members. However, the organiser has not confirmed whether one ticket covers all three films. All three listings use the programme’s starting time; they should not be treated as three simultaneous separate screenings. Check the full order and ticket arrangements at the venue.
