About this event
Three perspectives on horror cinema
The Institut français de Rabat presents three French and Moroccan horror productions. La Robe peau is a 15-minute animated short by Joachim Hérissé in which a tailor's work becomes terrifying. Sanguine, a 103-minute feature by Marion Le Coroller, follows a medical intern confronted with mysterious symptoms. Hôtel de la paix, an 87-minute Moroccan thriller by Jamal Belmejdoub, explores unsettling events in a haunted Marrakech hotel.
Animated nightmares, body horror and the supernatural
The selection moves from disturbing animation to medical body horror and Moroccan supernatural suspense. Sanguine premiered in the 2026 Cannes Midnight Screenings and is restricted to viewers aged 16 and over. Hôtel de la paix is in Darija with French subtitles and is recommended from age 12. For the combined programme, the stricter 16+ limit applies.
Important: conflicting dates
The local Rabat event pages list Friday 30 October 2026 at 7 pm at Salle Gérard Philipe, 2 Rue Al Yanboua. However, the national touring overview lists Rabat on 1 November. Please confirm the actual date with the venue before travelling. The local listing states MAD 20 for members and MAD 30 for non-members; a common three-film ticket has not been confirmed.
