Instituto Cervantes – Al Hoceima Extension

## The extension and its location The **Al Hoceima extension of Instituto Cervantes Fès** is hosted by **Colegio Melchor de Jovellanos on Avenue Tarik Ben Ziad**. The location appears in both the Fès institute's official description and Cervantes's annual directory. It offers a local point of access to Spanish-language study and Hispanic cultures for people in Al Hoceima and the wider Rif, linked administratively to the parent institute in Fès. ## Language education and cultural mission Its main function is **language education**, using the teaching resources and assessment framework of the Cervantes network. Students may find progressive Spanish classes and information about **DELE qualifications**, according to the current local calendar. Because teaching takes place in a partner school, the extension should **not be described as a standalone public theatre or gallery with unrestricted drop-in access**. Larger arts programmes organised by Cervantes Fès may use other venues and should be listed at their actual locations. ## Activity in 2026 and visiting advice The institute's published schedule confirms **B1.2-level Spanish classes in Al Hoceima between April and May 2026**. This provides dated evidence of teaching activities but not of permanent daily opening, a year-round exhibition programme or free access to the school. Contact **informafez@cervantes.es** for current enrolment, prices, examination dates and visitor arrangements. The cover shows the **Cervantes network logo**, not the school building. ## Practical information - **Address :** Colegio Melchor de Jovellanos, avenue Tarik Ben Ziad, 32000 Al Hoceïma, Maroc - **Telephone :** +212 684 48 34 29 - **Email :** informafez@cervantes.es - **Official website :** [https://fez.cervantes.es/es/sobre_nosotros_centro_espanol.htm](https://fez.cervantes.es/es/sobre_nosotros_centro_espanol.htm) ## Related Culturama cultural venues [Instituto Cervantes de Fès](/institutions/instituto-cervantes-fes) · [Maison de la Culture Prince Moulay El Hassan – Al Hoceïma](/institutions/maison-culture-al-hoceima) ## Sources and image credit [fez.cervantes.es](https://fez.cervantes.es/es/sobre_nosotros_centro_espanol.htm) · [fez.cervantes.es](https://fez.cervantes.es/es/cursos_espanol/estudiantes_espanol/horarios_cursos_espanol/horarios_nivel_intermedio.shtm) · [cvc.cervantes.es](https://cvc.cervantes.es/lengua/anuario/anuario_25/directorio/p01.htm) · [commons.wikimedia.org](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Logotipo_del_Instituto_Cervantes.svg) *Logotype de l’Instituto Cervantes, Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA 3.0) ; illustration institutionnelle et non façade de l’école.*
