Instituto Cervantes – Meknes Extension

## Institution and location The **Meknes extension of Instituto Cervantes Fès** provides a local point of access to Spanish-language education and cultural exchange in the imperial city. It is located at **19 Rue Pasteur, Résidence Zine El Abidine, apartment 5 on the third floor, Ville Nouvelle**. The Fès institute’s official directory confirms this branch and its dedicated contact details. It is an **extension**, not a complete duplicate of the parent institution’s larger library and exhibition facilities. ## Facilities and cultural purpose The main offer is **Spanish-language teaching at different CEFR levels**, linked to the wider Cervantes system of learning resources and **DELE certification**. Language learning can introduce students to Hispanic and Latin American literature, conversation and cultural traditions. However, concerts, theatre performances and exhibitions programmed by the Fès headquarters should **not automatically be attributed to the Meknes classroom premises**. ## Programmes and status in 2026 Official **2026 course schedules** identify **B1.1 and B1.2 groups in Meknes**, with sessions continuing into June or July. These are verified teaching activities, not evidence of an independent programme of public performances. Contact the centre to check current classes, fees, exam dates and access arrangements, and consult the Fès headquarters for broader cultural events. The cover is the **Instituto Cervantes logo**, not a photograph of the Meknes building. ## Practical visitor information - **Address :** 19 rue Pasteur, Résidence Zine El Abidine, 3e étage, appartement 5, Ville nouvelle, 50000 Meknès, Maroc - **Phone :** +212 535 40 32 01 - **Email :** infomeknes@cervantes.es - **Official site :** [https://fez.cervantes.es/es/sobre_nosotros_centro_espanol.htm](https://fez.cervantes.es/es/sobre_nosotros_centro_espanol.htm) ## Explore related Culturama venues [Institut français de Meknès](/institutions/institut-francais-meknes) · [Instituto Cervantes de Fès](/institutions/instituto-cervantes-fes) ## Sources and credits [fez.cervantes.es](https://fez.cervantes.es/es/sobre_nosotros_centro_espanol.htm) · [fez.cervantes.es](https://fez.cervantes.es/es/cursos_espanol/estudiantes_espanol/horarios_cursos_espanol/horarios_nivel_intermedio.shtm) · [cvc.cervantes.es](https://cvc.cervantes.es/lengua/anuario/anuario_25/directorio/p01.htm) · [commons.wikimedia.org](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Logotipo_del_Instituto_Cervantes.svg) *Logotype de l’Instituto Cervantes sur Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 3.0 ; identité du réseau, et non photographie des locaux de Meknès.*
