About this event
Directed by Lana Daher, Do You Love Me reconstructs a memory of Lebanon through seventy years of images drawn from cinema, television and family archives. The film unfolds as a love letter to Beirut, built entirely from archival material to evoke a history fragmented by the country’s social, political and intimate transformations. Running for 75 minutes, the work treats editing as a space for collective and personal memory, bringing public images into dialogue with private recollections. Four screenings are scheduled at the Cinémathèque de Tanger: Wednesday 22 July at 7:30 pm, Thursday 23 July at 8 pm, Friday 24 July at 5 pm and Saturday 25 July at 7 pm.
