In the Footsteps of Odette du Puigaudeau — Desert Explorer
The Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech explores the life of Odette du Puigaudeau (1894–1991), illustrator, explorer and self-taught ethnographer of Saharan nomadic cultures. More than 200 drawings, photographs, manuscripts, objects, audio archives and films follow her early career in France, desert expeditions and later years in Rabat. The exhibition illuminates dress, jewellery, dwellings, techniques and the complexity of cultural documentation.
