About this event
The artist’s research draws in part on the manuscripts of his father, a fqih in Marrakech. Signs leave the page to become forms, imprints and surfaces. The title “Arraqîm” refers both to engraved writing and to “raqm”, the number associated with digital language, linking inherited manuscripts with contemporary forms of communication.
The scenography extends this reflection into the gallery space, inviting visitors to move around a dark central volume while the works explore appearance, erasure and the persistence of traces.
