About this event
Eight women tell their own stories
On Saturday 24 October 2026, FOL Theatre in Casablanca hosts Bnât Dar Zhor, a stage production inspired by the lives of women who have experienced breast cancer. Eight women share their stories, exploring not only treatment but also relationships, the way others see them, changes in everyday life and the importance of mutual support. Their performance brings together candid personal accounts, emotional moments and humour.
Turning lived experience into theatre
Written and directed by Zakaria Hasni, the work grew out of activities with Dar Zhor, a Moroccan association providing supportive care and accompaniment to people affected by cancer. The women perform material drawn from their own experiences, opening a conversation about breast cancer beyond medical statistics. The show is part of the wider Breast Cancer Awareness Month programme, known locally as Octobre Rose.
