Art, science and the language of movement
In « ÉtatMorphose », Mostafa Bigua uses programming, robotics and kinetic art to investigate movement and the often invisible rhythms of everyday experience. His practice spans painting, drawing, printmaking, video and installation, combining mechanical and electronic devices with objects and gestures drawn from ordinary life. The exhibition explores how scientific techniques can become artistic tools for understanding matter, memory and perception.
A multidisciplinary artist
Originally from Khenifra and based in Meknes, Bigua pursued scientific and artistic studies, trained in programming and graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tétouan. His work connects the memory carried by familiar objects with technological experimentation. Rather than simply imitating living forms, machines reveal hidden patterns and invite audiences to rethink the relationships between bodies, things and creative imagination.
Dates and visiting information
The exhibition ran from 19 September to 13 October 2026 at the Institut français de Meknès gallery, Rue Ferhat Hachad, Ville Nouvelle. It has now ended and is retained as a cultural archive. The official page does not state a ticket price, so free admission should not be assumed. The accompanying photograph shows the venue, not an artwork from the exhibition.
