« Iqtibās — Allumer son feu au foyer d’un autre » follows Abel and Balkis, young lovers who believe their relationship can free them from inherited pain. When an earthquake strikes Morocco and Balkis disappears, Abel must confront unfamiliar languages, memories and histories. Written by Sarah M. and performed by Hayet Darwich and Maxime Lévêque, with live musician Osam, the work blends theatre, dance and music. French and Moroccan Darija alternate throughout a 75-minute performance exploring love, cultural identity, family transmission and the dialogue between Morocco and France.
