American Language Center Tetouan

## Cultural identity and non-profit mission **American Language Center Tetouan** is an educational and cultural member of the independent non-profit **American Cultural Association**, at **1 Rue Maarakat Zalaka**, close to Tétouan’s historic medina. It offers **English-language education and opportunities for intercultural learning** for children, teenagers and adults. It should not be presented as a U.S. Embassy-operated institution or a conventional public concert hall. ## Courses, creativity and community A historical ACA description identifies **a student library, a computer room and free extracurricular activities**, including games evenings, discussion groups, quizzes and a **film club**. These formats encourage reading, informal conversation and intercultural interaction. Because the original account predates 2026, **the continued availability of each room and club must be reconfirmed** rather than advertised as a guaranteed current service. There is no evidence of a permanent theatre or public exhibition gallery at this address. ## 2026 updates and programme verification In **September 2026**, ALC Tetouan advertised an **adult intensive programme from 9 to 24 September**, followed by **fall classes beginning on 30 September** and enrolment for young learners in the **2026–2027 academic year**. Published autumn reception hours are **Monday–Saturday 10 am–1:30 pm and 3:30–7:30 pm**, with possible Saturday variations. **No specific October 2026 public performance was verified.** Confirm library access, current film-club activities and course enrolment with the centre before visiting. ## Practical access and contacts - **Address :** 1 rue Maarakat Zalaka, 93000 Tétouan, Maroc - **Phone :** +212 539 96 33 08 - **Email :** tetouan@acamorocco.org - **Official information :** [https://www.facebook.com/ALCTetouan/](https://www.facebook.com/ALCTetouan/) ## Related venues in Culturama [Centre culturel IKLYLE de Tétouan](/institutions/centre-culturel-iklyle-tetouan) · [Instituto Cervantes de Tétouan](/institutions/instituto-cervantes-tetouan) · [Institut français de Tétouan](/institutions/institut-francais-tetouan) ## Sources and cover image [aca.org.ma](https://aca.org.ma/contact-3/) · [www.findglocal.com](https://www.findglocal.com/MA/T%C3%A9touan/196076134267/American-Language-Center---ALC-Tetouan) · [acamorocco.wordpress.com](https://acamorocco.wordpress.com/centers/) · [aca.org.ma](https://aca.org.ma/about-us/) *Wikimedia Commons : drapeau américain de substitution, sans correspondance photographique avec le centre de Tétouan.*
