The Institut français in Casablanca launches a new seminar cycle on October 7, 2026 devoted to “The Object of Psychoanalysis”, led by psychoanalyst Khalid Najab.
The seminar focuses on Book XIII of Jacques Lacan’s Seminar. Starting from the concept of the “objet petit a”, it explores clinical questions in psychoanalysis and principles guiding analytic treatment.
The opening session presents the main themes of the year and introduces the concepts needed to approach the text. The cycle is open both to participants familiar with Freud and Lacan and to newcomers interested in theories of the unconscious and Lacanian clinical practice.
The seminar then continues every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Institut français media library.
