About this event

The International Children and Youth Book Fair (SILEJ) returns to Casablanca for its fourth edition. The official event runs November 20–29, 2026 at Espace Toro on the corniche, with public opening hours from November 21 to 29, 10 am to 7 pm.

SILEJ has become a specialised meeting point for children’s and youth publishing, bringing together Moroccan and international publishers, authors, illustrators, book professionals, teachers, families and young readers through a programme combining publishing discovery and cultural mediation.

For the fourth edition, UNESCO is guest of honour and the main theme is “Ecological Literature and Nature Stories”, connecting youth literature with environmental awareness, the living world and new ecological imaginaries.

The cultural programme includes conferences, professional meetings, signings, activities and workshops for different age groups. Conference rooms are freely accessible, while the fair’s international publishing offer spans picture books, novels, comics, educational titles and creative works for children and teenagers.

Tickets cost 5 MAD for children and students with valid student ID, 10 MAD for adults, with a 50% discount for Pass Jeunes holders. Each ticket allows one entry for the day.

The venue also includes a food court and wheelchair-accessible facilities.
