Sirât: a journey through the Moroccan desert
The international Gaudí Cycle presents Oliver Laxe's Sirât (2025) in Rabat. A Cannes Jury Prize-winning film starring Sergi López, this intense desert odyssey mixes family loss, electronic-music culture and an increasingly difficult journey across southern Morocco.
Story
Luis and his son travel to the mountains of southern Morocco to look for Mar, Luis's missing daughter. Following a group of ravers toward another gathering in the desert, they journey into ever more remote territory and face an ordeal that tests their physical and emotional limits.
The Gaudí Cycle
Cicle Gaudí Internacional promotes Catalan-produced cinema worldwide. Its announcement names the screening in Rabat at Cinéma Le 7ème Art in association with Cinéma Renaissance and Fondation Hiba.
