About this event
The Institut français in Casablanca presents two screenings of “The Survivors of Che” by Christophe Dimitri Réveille: October 13, 2026 at 7:30 pm and October 25 at 11 am.
After the Cuban Revolution in 1959, three guerrillas who had followed Che Guevara continued fighting in Latin America. In 1967, following Che’s execution in Bolivia, they became fugitives hunted by thousands of soldiers.
The film reconstructs their escape across more than 2,400 kilometres of hostile territory and gives the surviving men a voice decades later. Testimony, rare archives and animated sequences combine in a story about memory, loyalty and political violence.
The documentary was selected for Special Screenings at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. Running time is 1 hour 37 minutes, in French, as part of the Institut français “Plan large” cinema programme with support from Fondation BMCI.
Full price: 50 MAD. Reduced: 30 MAD.
