About this event
Timitar 2026 closes with a broad journey through the musical heritage of southern Morocco and major voices from the Arab world. At Place Al Amal, “The Ahwachs of the Great South” open the evening before Hamid El Kasri, DJ HBrown, Ragheb Alama and Oudaden. The programme brings together the collective power of Ahwach, Gnawa depth, Arab pop and one of the most influential groups in contemporary Amazigh music.
At the Verdure Theatre, Fatema Tachtoukt, Abeer Nehme and Fatima Tabaamrant form a line-up led by three distinctive women’s voices, moving from Amazigh sung poetry to the musical traditions of the Mashreq. The closing night captures Timitar’s central ambition: celebrating roots without freezing them and turning the stage into a meeting place for languages, generations and territories. The exact starting time remains to be confirmed.
