American Language Center Casablanca

## Institutional profile and status The **American Language Center Casablanca**, part of Morocco's **independent non-profit American Cultural Association**, is a language-and-cultural-exchange organisation at **1 Place de la Fraternité, Boulevard Moulay Youssef in Gauthier**. It is **separate from Dar America**, the U.S.-consulate-linked American Space, and from its associated arts venue, the **American Arts Center at 2 Rue Khalil Matrane**. ## Facilities and cultural activity ALC Casablanca offers **English courses for adults, teenagers and children**, specialised and examination-oriented study, and creative clubs. Its arts offer covers **concerts, photography, creative writing, musical comedy, cinema, hip-hop and house dance and public discussion**. Some clubs are free to the public or enrolled students subject to programme conditions. The associated **American Arts Center**, with a **150-seat theatre/cinema and exhibition levels**, is a different building: its audience access and stage equipment should not be attributed to the ALC teaching headquarters. ## 2026 updates and programmes The published **fall 2026 adult term runs from 30 September to 19 December**, including in-person and online classes. Regular programmes offer **30 hours over ten weeks**, with **MAD 1,700** listed for standard courses, subject to confirmation at registration. The office at **1 Place de la Fraternité** advertises reception **9 am–noon and 2:30–6:30 pm**. Check the current **fall 2026 arts-club programme** before attending because listings and eligibility can change.
