The **British Council Casablanca Centre** at **87 Avenue Nador in the Polo district** is a Moroccan location of the UK's international organisation for **cultural relations and education**. It supports exchange through English teaching, qualifications, educational partnerships and arts programmes connecting Morocco and the United Kingdom. The Casablanca building is primarily a **teaching and learner-services centre**, not a dedicated public performing-arts hall. It is also distinct from the Rabat teaching sites.
## Facilities, mission and cultural exchanges
The Polo centre offers **modern classrooms for adults, children and teenagers**, along with reception and enrolment facilities. Its official interior photograph shows bright seating areas and contemporary glazed partitions. Beyond the building, the British Council works nationally with Moroccan artists, festivals and creative organisations. Its **Creative Hubs** programme provides selected independent cultural spaces with multi-year capacity-building and support of up to **£30,000 over three years**. **Emerging Festivals** facilitates professional exchanges and cultural partnerships. Such activities usually take place **through partner festivals and creative venues** rather than inside the language-school premises.

The **2026–2027 teaching calendar** lists children's terms from **1 September to 14 November 2026** and **19 November 2026 to 29 January 2027**, followed by terms beginning in February and April. Adult courses and level assessment are also available. **Centre opening hours** are **Monday–Friday 8 am–8 pm**, with a **Tuesday noon–2 pm closure**, and **Saturday 9 am–4:30 pm**. Some registration and examination services are online. Check the relevant course or event notice: arts projects supported by the British Council do not automatically take place at its Casablanca teaching centre.
