Dar America – American Cultural Center, Casablanca

## About the institution and its status **Dar America Casablanca** is a cultural and information hub of the **American Spaces network** connected to the **U.S. Consulate General**, not a private English-language school. For decades it has promoted Moroccan–American exchange through books and resources, lectures, film, cultural events, workshops and opportunities for students, artists and professionals to meet. ## Facilities, arts and cultural resources **Important 2026 relocation:** the historic **10 Place Bel Air, Gauthier** building closed in **April 2026**. The United States inaugurated a new consular compound on **Rue des Liserons, Casa Anfa / Casablanca Finance City**, and publicly announced that Dar America would move there, with operations expected from **5 May 2026**. Older directories, including EducationUSA listings, still refer to Gauthier; those details should not be treated as the current visitor entrance. Security and registration requirements may apply at the new compound. ## Documented programmes and 2026 access Historical programmes include **EducationUSA advising** about study in the United States, library materials, science and technology workshops, talks, film and cultural exchange. For any **October 2026** activity, confirm the actual venue, public entrance and registration with the U.S. mission. **Routine public opening hours at the relocated facility have not been independently verified.** The cover photograph records a session **at the former Dar America**, not the 2026 premises. ## Practical visitor information - **Address :** Nouveau complexe du Consulat général des États-Unis, rue des Liserons, Pôle urbain Casa Anfa / Casablanca Finance City, Casablanca, Maroc - **Telephone :** Non confirmé / غير مؤكد / Not verified - **Contact :** daramerica@state.gov - **Official site :** [https://americanspaces.info/locator/ctrdaramericacasablanca](https://americanspaces.info/locator/ctrdaramericacasablanca) ## Related Culturama venues [American Arts Center – Casablanca](/institutions/american-arts-center-casablanca) · [Goethe-Institut Casablanca](/institutions/goethe-institut-casablanca) ## Sources and photograph credits [americanspaces.info](https://americanspaces.info/locator/ctrdaramericacasablanca) · [us.diplomatie.ma](https://us.diplomatie.ma/en/educational-and-cultural-exchange-programs) · [ledesk.ma](https://ledesk.ma/2026/04/05/le-consulat-americain-de-casablanca-migre-a-cfc-lancien-batiment-bientot-rattache-a-attijariwafa-bank/) · [www.moroccoworldnews.com](https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2026/04/286156/dar-america-bids-farewell-to-its-current-location-at-closing-ceremony/) · [www.bal.com](https://www.bal.com/immigration-news/united-states-us-opens-new-consulate-general-in-casablanca/) *Laverite.ma (2024) : photographie documentaire de la bibliothèque de Dar America dans son ANCIEN bâtiment de Gauthier, remplacé en 2026 ; droits de réutilisation non établis.*
