Galerie Nadar – Casablanca

## The venue and its history Founded in **1974** by **Leïla Faraoui**, **Galerie Nadar** has played a longstanding role in Moroccan modern art. After renovation, it reopened at **5 Rue Al Manaziz, Maârif**, on **23 April 2025**, marking its fiftieth anniversary. Works drawn from the gallery's own holdings offered a reflection on several decades of exhibitions and artist careers. Beyond its commercial activity, Nadar is a place where the history of Moroccan visual arts can be encountered. ## Artistic programme and exhibitions Its programme includes painting, sculpture, photography and works on paper. In June **2026** the gallery took part in the **Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces** with a group photographic exhibition. In October **2026** it hosts part of **“60 Years of Painting in Morocco”**, tracing different generations of artistic production. Public listings disagree slightly on the run, citing either 3–31 or 7–30 October, so opening dates should be confirmed before visiting. ## Visiting information - **Address :** 5 rue Al Manaziz, Maârif, Casablanca, Maroc - **Telephone :** consult the official website - **Official website :** [https://galerie-nadar.com/](https://galerie-nadar.com/) - **Hours :** Opening hours depend on exhibitions; confirm with the gallery before visiting. - Programmes and visiting arrangements may change; check with the venue. ## Related cultural links and sources [60 ans de peinture au Maroc](/agenda/60-ans-de-peinture-au-maroc-casablanca-2026-cf81f226-10ea-42e1-ba99-3d7ebdbe9fb0) · [L’Atelier 21](/institutions/atelier-21-casablanca) [galerie-nadar.com](https://galerie-nadar.com/) · [snrtnews.com](https://snrtnews.com/thematique/agenda-culturel/la-galerie-nadar-celebre-60-ans-de-peinture-marocaine)
