Goethe-Institut Casablanca

## European cultural institution and identity The **Goethe-Institut Casablanca**, at **11 Place du 16 Novembre**, is one of the **two official Goethe-Institut locations in Morocco**, alongside Rabat. Germany's international cultural institute works with Moroccan partners on German-language education, film, literature, artistic dialogue and cultural cooperation. The Casablanca site has its own address, reception and library services, making a dedicated venue profile appropriate alongside Culturama's existing national/Rabat listing. ## Facilities, resources and purpose Its **library** provides books, audiovisual resources and material for studying German, with in-library consultation, borrowing for registered members and access to the online **Onleihe digital lending service**. Beyond language classes, the institution connects cultural practitioners and audiences through partnerships, workshops and discussions, some of which take place at outside venues rather than at the institute itself. ## 2026 programmes and visiting guidance In **2026** the institute continues language courses, examinations and a public cultural programme. The Casablanca **library** advertises **Monday–Thursday 10 am–1 pm and 2–6:30 pm**, **Friday 10 am–1 pm and 2–4 pm**. **General reception** is listed **Monday–Friday 9 am–5 pm**, while language-course registration follows shorter hours. Reading on site is free; borrowing requires library membership. Visitors should confirm a separate time and location for every film, talk or artistic event.
