Biosphaerae — Fatime-Zahra Morjani in Casablanca

At Casablanca’s Galerie Shart, artist Fatime-Zahra Morjani takes the ancient extinct plant silphium as the starting point for « Biosphaerae ». Paintings and a temporary installation imagine the species returning to the cracks and margins of contemporary urban landscapes. The exhibition considers ecological memory, disappeared species, human exploitation of the living world and nature’s persistence. Trained in architecture, Morjani combines painting, experimental photography and an interest in changing territories. On view until 14 November 2026.
