About this event
At Studio des Arts Vivants, Le Rôti stages a dinner where the refusal of one dish is enough to make social masks fall away. Amanda Sthers precisely observes how good intentions, progressive certainty, religious identity and social judgement can collide around a table.
Benjamin Elharrar’s production relies on four performers and the pressure of a confined setting: the more the conversation tries to return to normal, the more misunderstandings it creates. Running for approximately 75 minutes, the play combines biting humour, discomfort, tenderness and reversals.
