About this event
From 12 to 15 October 2026, Agadir hosts the 6th Global Week of Scientific Francophonie, an international gathering organised by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) at the Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort. This edition explores how scientific diplomacy can respond to global geopolitical challenges.
The programme brings together the Scientific Francophonie Conference, a ministerial meeting, the Francophone Student Youth Congress and international cooperation sessions. Researchers, university leaders, policymakers, students and partner organisations will debate knowledge circulation, multilingualism, research, artificial intelligence and sustainable cooperation.
On 14–15 October, the youth congress particularly focuses on disinformation and citizen investigation with partners from media and education. Other discussions address health sciences, linguistic diversity and the online discoverability of French-language scholarship. Registration: see the official AUF website for eligibility, programme and online access.
